Camino House
Built in 1970 and designed by the celebrated architect, Goodwin Steinberg, this mid-century modern estate had remained virtually untouched since. Interior walls paneled with book matched walnut meet brutalist stone columns between exterior facing storefront-style windows and doors. It is an unexpected masterpiece that feels like stepping into a time capsule. As well as restoring architectural elements and finishes nearing the end of their lifespans, we replaced dark tile floors with Italian marble, thoroughly refreshed the primary suite and, most substantially, reimagined and reconfigured the segmented service spaces as a spacious kitchen and family room to breathe new life into the home for the next generation.
